Joy of collecting notes during an exam

Ever wondered how pathetic an exam can be when you donot have any material to study, forget the studying part(syllabus) coz that comes later.Whatever it is, my personal experience says that along with notes comes notemakers' instructions. They are the ones who are going to tell you what to study from the required syllabus and how much time is it goin to take to study those. In all cases there is a free offer that comes with it.They will ask you "have you understood this topic ?".
Where are you going to find a person who will teach you in case you cannot understand a part of the syllabus? So folks who are preparing for their exams start collecting notes.

Its A Hot hot World

Ever wondered why we are suffering from the heat and humidity in our everyday lives?
I guess many of us know the causes to it,but we are waiting for our death to nullify the pain. Its summer time in kolkata and i am a bit too expressive now coz the heat is making me mad.

My Gd-PI experience at IIT madras

Well there were 3 choices for selecting GD-PI centres- delhi, mumbai and chennai. The proximity from Kolkata (my home town) let me choose Delhi.

We were called on the 30th March scheduled at 2pm.I arrived at IIT Delhi an hour early and we were made to wait for sometime in an auditorium. The guys and girls who sat near me were all suited up but poker-faced with no inclination to interact. So i sat there blank staring at all those eagle-eyed creatures who were gearing to rip me off in the GD.

The IIT Madras professors arrived at 2:15 pm and showed us a video and introduced themselves. The video showed what life we were gonna experience, who were going to teach us,how much salary we were going to take home etc.

Just afterwards about 30 students were divided into 6 groups of 5 students each and all the students got a pink color card.In the card was written the GT (Group Task)number and PI(Personal Interview) number. My GT number was 4 and PI number was 5.

HOW MY GT Went.................

Well they had named it group task but it was nothing but a GD(Group Discussion). The topic of discussion was "Devise a plan to implement primary education in India".We got 1.5 minutes for introducing the topic,12 minutes GD and then 2 minutes summarization.

Out of the 5 people in my group i was seated in the middle. So i got some advantage of making eye contacts with my group members.A fellow group member named Satyam started the GD in much hurry followed by a girl.I spoke the 3rd.Most of us discussed a lot about creating awareness so that ordinary people can go ahead and utilize the benefits of primary education. After the GD the judges told us that the group had missed a lot on the implementation part.

HOW MY PI Went...................

I was in PI panel 5,and once i reached outside the door 1 guy just came out from there to let another enter into.Seeing the transaction my heart skipped a beat and i got a bit nervous.i talked with the guy who just came out.He talked about his experience. He told me there were 2 female panel members and they seemed quite courteous. My nerves relaxed a bit on hearing this. However he could not answer a question which asked what are 'a' and 'b' called in the equation of a straight line.

When my turn came i was pretty surprised because the interview did not require any C.V or any other documents to be presented to the panelists.I entered when my turn came in.

One of the panelist saw my form and exclaimed "oh, so u r from my college."

And that was it.I was in the 7th heaven.I could feel all the stress burn down in a jiffy. The following 7 minutes were like casual conversations.

Some of the questions which she asked were unanswerable but she told the answers before i could say anything.Like, "why are your marks so low",and then she started to inquire if i was involved in college politics. The other panelist asked about my projects done, and its whereabouts etc.whereas my college alumni asked if i got a job during college campusing, my rank during engineering entrances, where i took coaching etc.

There was a loophole though when one of the panelist asked me if i prepared beforehand for the interview,to which i had to modestly reply no.Also i could not answer who was the editor of The Telegraph.

Anyhow i felt relaxed after the interview got over and silently returned back to Kolkata after enjoying the remaining day in Delhi.
